VIERA Connect IPTV VIERA Connect provides access to apps in such categories as video and music, social networking, games, news and lifestyle, sports, health and fitness. It also features a market site, where the consumer can select specific apps or accessories to help personalize the Internet experience. Popular apps on VIERA Connect include Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Facebook, Twitter, Wall Street Journal, and huluplus, all optimized for the best possible user experience. For ease-of-use, use quick keyword input on the VIERA Connect to help retrieve favorite content faster and easier. The social networking TV function allows users to access social network sites while simultaneously watching TV. VIERA Link The E50 features VIERA Link, a technology that allows a consumer to operate all VIERA Link compatible AV components using only the TV’S remote control. In addition to operating a VIERA HDTV, video source, and home theater receiver can be connected to a VIERA HDTV and controlled via VIERA Link remote. Users can then watch their child, pet and/or property by installing the camera and networking to the VIERA HDTV via Ethernet cable. Wide Viewing Angle With the wide 178° viewing angle, you see clear, vibrant images from every seat in the room. The backlight features a wide transmission aperture that enhances contrast between light and dark and improves response to provide smoother motion images. 2D-3D Conversion Unique Panasonic technology converts 2D images into high-quality 3D images in real-time.The technology generates a detailed depth effect for each type of image, so the 3D effect is natural and realistic. Enjoy Blu-ray movies, DVD movies and even ordinary TV broadcasts in 3D. The Super Resolution function allows images that were converted from 2D to 3D to be displayed in sharp, clear 3D while minimizing double image. 3D images with crisp contours are also produced from 3D broadcasts using the side-by-side method. Afterimages are thoroughly reduced by finer blinking. IPS LED Panel The IPS LED panel delivers a wide viewing angle with almost no picture degradation at off angle viewing. The high performance, high speed, high transmittance panel materials contribute to the 178 degree color viewing angle, high contrast performance and fast response time. Skype Communication An optional Skype Communication camera (TY-CC20W) allows the consumer to communicate with friends and family via a large TV, rather than on a small computer or smart phone screen.  Record an original message and set it as your answering voice message.
